Sharps and glass are not interchangeable.
There are different categories of glass waste. Individuals must segregate glass types and place them in the appropriate buckets provided by HSE.

- Chemically contaminated solid waste – blue bucket
- Clean glass waste – green bucket
- Contaminated glass waste – white bucket
When a bucket is 3/4 full, one must submit a waste request through the Hazardous Waste Inventory System to have it replaced.
