The HF(aq) acid standard operating procedure found below outlines the significant hazards associated with the handling of this chemical. This is not a comprehensive guide to handling this chemical, and it assumes that the users of this guide have basic experience in handling chemicals, mixing chemicals, and working with acids. The user should also refer to the general working with hydrofluoric acid SOP from the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) office at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus.
Users must also create their own SOP detailing how they will work with hydrofluoric acid.
