Structures Lab

The Structures Lab is a 580 m2 facility consisting of research and undergraduate teaching space. A 6 m x 20 m reaction floor allows for comprehensive structural and materials testing in seismic design, timber, green concrete, retrofitting and structural rehabilitation. The lab also includes destructive and nondestructive testing equipment. For more information on the features in the lab please visit the Applied Laboratory for Advanced Materials & Structures website.

Users of the Structures lab will have to complete an onsite orientation and abide by the policies in the Safety and Operating Protocols document.

Due to the hazards in the Structures Lab, safety glasses and CSA footwear must be worn at all times. Depending on the work being conducted, additional safety equipment such as respirators, gloves, hearing protection, and hardhats must be worn.
