Health Safety and Environment (HSE) provides online and in person training sessions to meet the legal requirements of WorkSafeBC. All workers including staff, paid students, and volunteers must complete several training courses. Bullying and Harassment Prevention, Workplace Violence Prevention, New Worker Safety Orientation, and Chemical Safety Training must be completed. Lab access will not be granted until these core courses have been completed.
Undergraduate students who are only in the labs as part of their course work are exempt from completing these courses.
